A space designed to cook, create and collaborate with food.

The Kitchen Collective is made up of a collection of very different food studios based in and around Cape Town.

The Kitchen Collective Food Studios (City Bowl) has three professional fully equipped kitchen studios in one venue. Ginger & Lime (Fresnaye) is based in an elegant manor house with a beautiful terrace for outdoor events and Salt & Sage (Bantry Bay) is a sleek, state of the art open plan space with stunning sea views.

These are all perfect places to host various events; Interactive Cooking Experiences, Corporate Teambuilding, MasterChef Parties, Private Functions, Product Launches, Cape Malay Cooking Experiences for our international guests and much more. The unique aspect of The Kitchen Collective space is that as well as the main open plan Demo “Theatre” Kitchen, there are 2 glass enclosed kitchen studios for hire by industry professionals for catering, private chefs, cooking workshops, film crews, food stylists and photographers for shoots, as well as anyone that needs a kitchen space to prep for any occasion.

At The Kitchen Collective, we pride ourselves on making each and every event a unique, bespoke experience collaborating closely with our clients vision to make it happen. We are absolutely passionate about what we do.

What's on?

Please Note: Our in-studio classes follow strict hygiene and social distancing practices and guests will be cooking at their own station unless arriving in pairs. Screening will be performed before each guest can participate and enter the space.

    I would just like to say a ‘HUGE’ Thank you for the most delightful experience last night. It was such a fun and relaxed evening with amasing hosts, staff and guests. I enjoyed every minute of the evening from the moment we were welcomed by you and Kathy to meeting Kim and the staff, even Paul from Holden Manz who continually filled our glasses with wine, everyone made us feel at home straight away. I have long last had such a pleasant time out with a great bunch of people and that’s saying a lot coming from someone who is normally rather shy and not keen on socialising….. so you can put that feather in your cap!! The food was delicious, wines were great and the company fantastic! The Kitchen Collective will definitely be on my recommendation list of things to do in Cape Town.
